Martin James Keatings

Martin James Keatings is an Independent candidate for 2022 council elections for West Fife and Coastal Villages. A carer for his mother who has secondary progressive M.S, he's former leader of Yes International and current convener of Forward as One. If you've been to a dunfermline Yes rally, then it was Martin who organised it. He has a keen interest in constitutional matters, law, engineering, general science and civil rights, basically if it stimulates the brain, it's probably on his reading list. For the past year he's been the lead on Keatings vs the Advocate General, a lawsuit brought by over 10,000 members of the ordinary electorate to establish that the Scottish Parliament does not require the consent of Westminster in order to hold a referendum on Independence from the UK.
